Enterprise New Skilling Strategy
The Challenge:
A leading global airline organization is overhauling its business strategy by harnessing data, AI, and analytics to elevate the customer experience. With a workforce exceeding 70,000, the airline faces the challenge of defining the path forward to upskilling the workforce. To align with their innovative strategy, they require a comprehensive understanding of current employee skills and a clear roadmap for upskilling
The Approach
Design an enterprise-wide AI & Data skilling strategy and enablement program.
Current State Assessment
- Assessed current state and drive analysis in terms of skills, talent, and roles to identify gaps and needs.
- Defined and developed role cards and skill profile for each persona (data scientists, data engineers, data analyst, and data consumer)
- Developed skill taxonomy by aligning on skills definitions, skill type and proficiencies for each persona.
Design Future State
- Aligned on program vision and capabilities
- Developed learning journeys and learning pathways.
- Validated core and specialized skills.
- Assessed learning platforms and proposed options.
Developed new skilling implementation plan:
- Assessed organizational and talent impacts and prepare communication plan
- Selected and onboarding learning content provider
- Launched talent assessment and set up employee upskilling journey.
The Results
- Four (4) curriculums were designed and implemented including 11 core skills and 300 specialized skills
- Client started its skilling journey after 8 months training more than 10K employees.
